I just got through reading an article in Wired magazine that says using Twitter and Facebook can result in more productive workers.
The article says that “stepping back from the project at hand can be essential to success,” adding that social networks are well-suited for creativity.
“We need periodic breaks to relieve our conscious minds of the pressure to perform – pressure that can lock us into a single mode of thinking,” the article, written by Brendan I. Koerner, says. “The participatory nature of Twitter and Facebook also makes them excellent tools for supercharging creativity.”
